Who actually drinks Corona, and why that matters

Look, Corona is not going to impress anyone at a CAMRA meeting. It's light, it's a bit fizzy, and it smells faintly of lime before you've even added any. But that's sort of the point, isn't it. There's a whole category of beer that exists purely to be cold, inoffensive, and sociable. Corona is the king of that category.

I had a crate of this last summer during a barbecue that went on longer than anyone planned. By hour four, nobody was reaching for the fancy pale ale. Everyone was on the Corona, lime wedges piling up on the patio table, bottles sweating in the heat. It just works in that context.

The actual deal

Eighteen 330ml bottles for around a tenner, with the discount applied at checkout rather than shown upfront, which is a bit annoying but not a dealbreaker. That works out to well under 60p a bottle, which is genuinely hard to beat without going own-brand.

The HotUKDeals community flagged it with close to 4000 degrees of heat, so it moved fast last time. Stock is the real risk here.

One honest reservation

If you're buying beer to actually taste it, this isn't your bottle. Corona is thin. The flavour profile is basically "cold" and "vaguely citrus". That's fine if you know what you're getting. But if someone in your house is a proper beer person, maybe grab something else for them.

For garden sessions, casual gatherings, or stocking the fridge before guests arrive, this is spot on value.
