The lion bar in cereal form, basically
If you grew up nicking Lion bars from the corner shop, these cereal bars will hit a familiar note. Same caramel-chocolate thing going on, just crunchier and slightly less guilty-feeling because, you know, "cereal". Each bar is 25g, which is a proper snack-sized portion rather than something that vanishes in one go.
I'll be honest: I first bought these for my kid's lunchbox and ended up eating two myself before the school run. They travel well, don't melt all over your bag in summer (well, mostly), and the milk bar variant has a slightly creamier finish that I actually prefer over the standard.
Who this is actually for
Look, at 95p for six on Subscribe & Save, this is almost comically cheap. That works out at under 16p a bar, which is absurd value if you already like the product. This is ideal for:
- Office snack drawer refills
- Kids' packed lunches
- Anyone who bulk-buys pantry stuff on S&S anyway
It's not for someone who wants a "nutritious" breakfast. There's real sugar here and you shouldn't kid yourself otherwise.
One honest reservation
Subscribe & Save means you're committing to a recurring order. Perfectly fine if you remember to cancel or adjust, a bit annoying if you forget and end up with 24 Lion bars in February you didn't plan for. The deal price also depends on having at least 5 active S&S items, so factor that in.
