The bit that actually matters
Stanley has built a proper cult around stainless steel drinkware, and the IceFlow Flip Straw Tumbler is probably the most lifestyle-forward thing they make. Flip the lid, drink through the straw, feel vaguely athletic. It holds 30oz, keeps ice for a genuinely long time (tested on a warm commute, ice still floating after four hours), and the flip mechanism is satisfying in that fidgety, click-the-pen kind of way.
The white colourway is clean. Really clean. Which is lovely until week three, when the rubberised base picks up every bit of grime your bag has ever seen.
Who this is actually for
If you're someone who sits at a desk and wants a big cold drink nearby all day, this is spot on. It fits most car cup holders (just about), and the straw means you're sipping without thinking about it. Hydration by accident, basically.
Not for you if you want something truly portable and leak-proof for a bag. The flip lid is splash-resistant at best. I once chucked mine in a tote and found the bottom damp. Not a disaster, but worth knowing.
The price question
At £27 with no current discount, you're paying full whack. Stanley's quality is real, the weld on the lid feels solid, and this isn't going to crack in six months. But you're also paying a chunk for the logo. Competing tumblers from lesser-known brands do a similar job for £12 to £15.
Personally, I'd wait for a deal to land. The community heat on HotUKDeals suggests one is probably coming. At £18 to £20 this becomes a proper no-brainer.
